Biography
Theresa is an accomplished legal practitioner with extensive experience in corporate governance, administration, and banking. She holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, a Barrister at Laws (BL Hons) from the Nigeria Law School and an LLM from the Institute of Maritime and Commercial Law, Lagos State University (LASU). She is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and currently the Akwa Ibom State Chapter chair.
Her career spans various roles, including serving as the Deputy Principal Solicitor at Ntong and Ntong Chambers, Company Secretary and Head of Legal/Admin at AG Mortgage Bank Plc, and a Magistrate with the Akwa Ibom State Judiciary. Her professional expertise covers criminal and civil litigation, corporate consultancy, agency and debt recovery, security documentation, vault management, and human resource management.
Mrs. Ntong is a marriage counsellor, an advocate of good corporate governance, peace, and adherence to the rule of law. She has been actively involved in every level of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, holding several leadership positions, including Vice President of Women Ministries and Secretary of the Mission's Board. Additionally, she has contributed to various academic and professional seminars, highlighting her commitment to continuous learning and development.
Her hobbies include research, reading, writing, counselling, and travelling, reflecting her passion for knowledge and personal growth. Mrs. Ntong is happily married with children.
